Compensation payments to refugees from Novorossia started in Voronezh

The budgets of the Luhansk and Donetsk people’s republics have allocated funds for the maintenance of refugees in temporary accommodation facilities in Voronezh, which shelter citizens affected by the hostilities in the region. 120,000 rubles will be spent on payments to families with many children, as well as on payments for the care of young children, on the birth of a child, and on disability benefits.

In Voronezh region, two refugee women from the conflict zone have already had children: two boys. Also, two families with many children, two pregnant women and a disabled person received benefits. This was reported by Lyudmila Neskreba, a representative of the Public Association of Donbass Residents. At the moment, Voronezh temporary accommodation facilities have taken refugees from Donetsk, Luhansk, Rubizhne and Slavyansk. In the lobby of “Yubileinaya” hotel they were all gathered together to distribute money to those most in need. In addition to compensation in Voronezh, refugees from Novorossia in Stary Oskol (Belgorod Oblast), where a temporary accommodation center is located, also received payments. Recall, in accordance with a change in the law on social protection measures for citizens of the DNR monetary benefits are paid in the currency of the country of temporary residence. Meanwhile, the situation in Ukraine, despite the truce signed in Minsk, has not changed one bit. 33 children were killed and 82 wounded during the operation of Ukrainian security forces in Donbass. At the beginning of the school year, the danger has not passed: the ceasefire is violated, Ukrainian units are shelling schools. The authorities have no control over the situation and advise residents of the region not to send their children to school. However, the local authorities are not yet able to influence the situation.
